The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) announced that it has issued guidelines related to the full solarization of the town of Modhera, Gujarat.

It is reported that the cost of complete solarization
cost to add solar panels in towns is estimated to be 650 million rupees. The central government and state governments will each bear up to 50% of central financial assistance, that is, 325 million rupees will be provided by the central government, and the remaining 50% will be provided by the Gujarat government.

Cost Of Residential Solar

The Indian government launched the plan to honor Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of solarizing a small town in the Mehsana district of Gujarat, which could also boost tourism.

The project is expected to be completed in December this year.

Features of the program include the establishment of renewable energy facilities such as 6MW photovoltaic power plants; 15MWh battery energy storage systems (BESS); rooftop photovoltaic systems for homes and government buildings; smart energy components such as smart meter infrastructure (AMI) and distribution Electric automation; solar electric vehicle charging station; retrofit street lamps with energy-saving LED lights; intelligent load monitoring and data centers.

House Solar System Price

To a large extent, this program is likely to meet the household and agricultural electricity needs of all households in the town using solar energy, thereby establishing a pilot demonstration project of villages and towns that fully use solar energy.

At the same time, the government has tendered the project to be installed through Gujarat Power Co., Ltd. (GPCL), and has started to implement the project.
