Cumulative installed solar capacity in Sweden reaches 698MW in 2019

    According to statistics released by the Swedish energy agency Energimyndigheten, Swedish power home solar cost installations increased from 411 MW at the end of 2018 to 698 MW in 2019.

    The figures show that 2019 is the best year for Swedish photovoltaic power generation, with photovoltaic grid-connected power generation reaching 287 MW.     Sweden currently has about 44,000 photovoltaic arrays, an increase of about 19,000 last year. The agency said that the vast majority of photovoltaic installed capacity does not exceed 20 kilowatts, and projects with a capacity exceeding 1 megawatt are relatively rare.

    Last September, the Swedish government raised the budget for residential and commercial solar rebates in 2019 from SEK 736 million to SEK 1.2 billion.
