Australia's rooftop photovoltaic installed capacity reached 14.7GW
According to the latest "Quarterly Solar Energy Report" released by the Australian Energy Commission (AEC), Australia has installed more than 14.7GW of solar rooftop Solar Generator For House facilities, becoming the second industry sector in Australia's power generation capacity.

AEC’s quarterly solar energy report shows that although coal-fired power generation is still superior in terms of installed capacity, rooftop solar energy is continuing to expand, with a total of 109,000 new systems installed in the second quarter of this year.
AEC said that by analyzing the latest data from the clean energy regulator, it can be seen that as of the end of June, there were more than 2.86 million solar systems installed on the roof of Australia, with a total installed capacity of more than 14.7GW, thus ensuring that rooftop solar energy continued to eat away. The market share once firmly occupied by fossil fuel generator sets.
AEC CEO Sarah McNamara pointed out that the average installed capacity of rooftop solar has grown steadily and continues to break expectations.
"Except for the Northern Territory, the number of solar panel installations in all administrative regions across the country has set a record compared with the previous fiscal year."

According to AEC, the number of solar systems installed by Australian households in the 2020-21 fiscal year is estimated to be 373,000, which is an increase from 323,500 in the 2019-20 fiscal year. The installed capacity also jumped from 2.5 GW to more than 3GW, and the average single set of equipment scale reached 8.06 kW in June.
Leading among them is New South Wales, which has installed more than 116,000 rooftop systems during the 2020-21 fiscal year, and the total installed capacity has increased by 965MW.
The popularity trend in Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia is also very strong. A total of 212,000 sets of rooftop photovoltaic systems with a total capacity of 1.67GW have been installed.
McNamara said that keeping the cost of technology low, and the increasing promotion of working at home, these factors have played a key role in the popularization of rooftop solar photovoltaic systems.
