Chinese company invests in Zimbabwe solar panel battery charger kit factory
According to news released by African media, a Chinese solar power system supplier hopes to develop a solar panel battery charger kit industry in Zimbabwe.

The company recently invested $15 million to support the establishment of a factory in Zimbabwe that specializes in the production of solar panel battery charger kit. In Zimbabwe, 15 kW of solar panel battery charger kit can be produced approximately every 24 hours in the coming months.
According to World Bank estimates, only 40% of people in Zimbabwe currently use electricity. Due to the reduced power generation of the Kariba Reservoir, the country's current installed capacity gap is expected to be 1 GW.

The solar panel battery charger kit factory will cover an area of one hectare, creating jobs for young people and promoting the ongoing development of solar power kit with battery projects in Zimbabwe. These projects include the 22MW Soventix and the 180MW Univergy solar power kit with battery project.
The Chinese company also revealed that it is currently studying the feasibility of other solar power kit with battery projects in Zimbabwe. In addition, the Zimbabwean government is ambitious in the field of solar power kit with battery, hoping to achieve 1.6 GW of solar power kit with battery capacity by 2020.
