Qatar 800MW photovoltaic power station to generate electricity

    According to POWERCHINA, the 800-megawatt photovoltaic Solar Power Storage System project in Qatar, which was contracted by its subsidiary Guizhou Engineering Co., Ltd. EPC, was successfully connected to the grid at full capacity, becoming the first large-scale ground photovoltaic power station connected to the grid at full capacity in Qatar’s history.

    The project is the third largest single photovoltaic power station in the world so far, and the largest photovoltaic project in the world using tracking systems and bifacial modules. It is expected to provide Qatar with about 1.8 billion kWh of clean electricity every year, satisfying about 300,000 households. Annual electricity consumption and carbon dioxide emission reduction of about 900,000 tons per year.
