As of the end of September, France's cumulative installed solar energy at home photovoltaic capacity reached 10.2 GW. The newly installed capacity in the third quarter was 283 MW.

According to new data provided by the French Renewable Energy Association SER, as of the end of September, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation in France was 10,201 MW. This figure is based on information released by the French Electricity Distributors Association (ADEeF) and grid operators Enedis and RTE.
In the third quarter, about 283 megawatts of new photovoltaic systems in the country were connected to the grid. In comparison, the previous quarter and the first quarter of this year were 179 MW and 172 MW, respectively.

The Nouvelle Aquitaine region still tops the list, with installed photovoltaic power generation capacity of 2,705 MW at the end of September 2020, followed by Occitanie with 2,132 MW.
The solar power generation in the past three months reached 4.46 TWh, breaking the record of 4.43 TWh set in the previous quarter. In addition, the SER report stated that in the third quarter, solar energy met 4.6% of total electricity demand, compared with 2.9% in the 12 months from October last year to the end of September this year.
