Guinea to vigorously develop solar and wind power

     A delegation from the International Solar Alliance visits Guinea. The delegation held talks with Guinea's foreign minister and finance minister. The International Solar Union delegation held working talks with Guinea's Energy Minister Shiraz.

    During the talks, Minister Shiraz stated that Guinea has abundant solar energy resources, and the next step is to vigorously develop solar and wind power.

    To this end, with the support of the International Solar Alliance, the parties decided to launch the following three manufacturing projects as soon as possible:
    Construction of a factory to assemble solar photovoltaic panels in Guinea
    Construction of a solar and wind power component production plant in Guinea
    Construction of a drilling equipment and parts production plant in Guinea

    Minister Shiraz said that the Guinean side has received $ 20 million in financing to install solar power installations at three universities and several national hospitals. Guinea has begun to use solar energy as a clean and green energy source, and further efforts will be made to develop solar energy in the future.
