The Pokrovskaya PV power plant (240 MW) in Dnepropetrovsk Oblast was put into use, becoming the second largest photovoltaic power plant in Europe.

The news shows that the annual power generation of the Pocrovskaya power plant is 400 million kWh, which is enough to protect 200,000 homes. The commissioning of the power station has reduced CO2 emissions by 420,000 tons per year, which is equivalent to the annual emissions of 200,000 cars. Pokrovskaya PV power station is equipped with 840,000 photovoltaic panels provided by Chinese companies. According to Bloomberg, the company is one of the three largest photovoltaic panel manufacturers in the world. The power station is located in the Nicopol mine.

DTEK's general manager Jimchenko said that Pokrovskaya PV power station is the company's third project in the solar field, with a total investment of 193 million euros. This is a 100% Ukrainian project, financed and constructed by Ukrainians.
