Polish power generator builds photovoltaic project at old coal mine site

     Recently, Poland's second largest power generator started construction of a 5MW residential solar panels cost project in Jaworzno near Katowice.

    Despite the impact of the New Coronary Pneumonia Public Health Crisis on project development and financing, the state-owned power company Tauron is still building this photovoltaic power plant based on its Green Return plan.

    Tauron said that the Katowice Provincial Environmental Protection and Water Management Foundation (WFOiGW) is co-funding the solar project, which will be built on the original site of the original coal power station.

    It is reported that Tauron won the bid for the design, construction and procurement (EPC) contract of the Jaworzno project in September, and its Tauron Serwis and Tauron Dystrybucja Serwis subsidiaries also won a contract for a power station.
