How will the affect for on grid solar inverter when solar panels have reversed?

      The solar panels is connected to the on grid solar inverter. Since the solar panels is separated from the inverter, an extension cable needs to be added. This extension cable needs to be made on site.The correct connection is that the solar panels connector is male connector on one side and female connector on the other side, so as to ensure that the positive and negative directions do not change. However, some customers will make the two connectors of the extension cable the same. If the on grid solar inverter is connected, the positive and negative poles will be reversed.      Firtsly,if the only 1 string of solar panels connect with on grid solar inverter.The solar grid tie inverter is powered by solar panels. If there is only one string of solar panels, the positive and negative poles are reversed, the solar grid tie inverter cannot be started, and the indicator light and screen of the solar grid tie inverter are not bright. However, the solar grid tie inverter will not be damaged. If it is changed and then connected, the solar grid tie inverter will work normally.

 

     Secondly,if two strings of solar panels connect with solar grid tie inverter.If the two strings of solar panels are reversed, as in the above case, the on grid solar inverter cannot be started, and the indicator lights and screen of the on grid solar inverter are not lit.If two strings of solar panels, one string is connected, one string is reversed, two strings of solar panels are equivalent to internal short circuit, the solar panel short-circuit current is amplified by 15%, the fuse will not be blown, and the on grid solar inverter DC voltage may be only a few volts. The on grid solar inverter transformer will not be damaged and the solar panel will burn out slowly.

Thirdly,if many strings of solar panels connect with on grid solar inverter.If multiple strings of solar panels are reversed at the same time, as in the first case, the grid connected inverter cannot be started, and the indicator lights and screen of the grid connected inverter are not lit.

 

       If 1 string solar panels is connected, the other strings solar panels are reversed,or 1 string solar panels is reversed, the other few strings solar panels are correct ,the solar panel is short-circuited internally, and the current will be added more than 2 times. If the grid connected inverter has a fuse, the fuse will blow. The circuit is disconnected and will not cause a fire. After the grid connected inverter fuse is blown, the voltage across the fuse doubles, causing the DC overvoltage grid connected inverter  to blow up.

         If the solar panel is reversed, the consequences will be more serious. If the photovoltaic inverter is bombed, the solar panel will cause fire. Therefore, if the novice is not very skilled, you can use a multimeter to measure the voltage. Remember to use the DC voltage file. If the direction of the measured voltage and the aspect of the photovoltaic inverter are correct, then connect to thephotovoltaic inverter.
