Recently, the Minas Gerais Government of Brazil (MinasGerais) has passed the environmental approval of the country’s largest solar Home Solar Panel Kit photovoltaic project with a capacity of 1.357GW and a planned investment of R$ 6 billion (US$ 1.18 billion), which will be in 2020 Construction will begin in the second half of the year.

It is reported that the project is divided into 34 40MW blocks, composed of 300,000 photovoltaic modules with a power of 370W. After completion, it will generate about 90 billion KWh of clean energy every year.

GlobalData, an international market research agency, said that Brazil’s photovoltaic industry has been developing well, but COVID-19 has slowed down the country’s PV installation market and adjusted Brazil’s new PV installations to 700MW in 2020, as previously expected. It is 1.3GW.
