Australian rooftop photovoltaics add 2.2GW in 2019, hitting a seven-year high

      In 2019, Australia's renewable energy continued to reach new highs, with installed capacity of 4.4GW of  home solar panel kits for sale energy and 24% of renewable energy generation, an increase of 2.7% over 2018.

    The report shows that the Australian rooftop solar continued to break the record in 2019, with the 2.2 GW installed capacity hitting the largest installation since 2012 and the third highest installed capacity in history, with 1.6 GW installed in 2018. In 2019, the battery storage industry has developed vigorously, with more than 22,000 small batteries installed, making Australia's home storage capacity exceed 1GWh for the first time, and 15 large batteries are under construction by the end of the year.

    CEO Kane Thornton (Kane Thornton) said that Australia's renewable energy goals were achieved one year ahead of schedule. In the electricity supply in 2019, 95.6% of Tasmania's electricity is provided by clean energy, followed by South Australia (52.1%), Victoria (23.9%), Western Australia (20.9%), New South Wales, including the Australian Capital Territory (17.1%) and Queensland (14.1%).
