French power producer Neoen SA said on Wednesday that it will spend 570 million Australian dollars (about 367 million US dollars) to build Australia's largest solar cost of solar panels per kilowatt farm. Previously, the company had signed most of the electricity supply contracts with a state-owned power company.

CleanCo of Queensland has agreed to purchase 320 megawatts of electricity from the Western Downs solar farm in southeast Queensland, which will help the state achieve its 50% renewable energy target by 2030.
The state's finance minister Jacki Trad said in a statement that when our economy is free from the worst effects of covid-19, we need to prepare good projects that create jobs and stimulate spending, especially It is the Queensland region.
Neoen sees Australia as one of its main growth markets. The company said it expects to begin construction at the Western Downs solar farm in July, and the project will start generating electricity in the first quarter of 2022.

The independent power generator set the solar farm's power generation at 460 to 480 MW of photovoltaic power generation, which will be Australia's largest, and said CleanCo agreed to purchase 352 MW.
Neoen already has six solar farms, three wind farms and the world's largest lithium-ion battery in Australia.
