Musk confirmed: solar roof products will be launched in Canada this year
On February 23, according to foreign media reports, on Monday, local time, Tesla Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk confirmed that it will launch solar roof Battery For Solar Power System products in Canada later this year.

At present, it is not clear how much Tesla's solar roof will cost in Canada. In September last year, Tesla’s job posting in Toronto, Ontario hinted that the company’s solar roof products would enter Canada.
It is reported that Tesla entered the field of solar roofs through the acquisition of SolarCity. Suncity was founded by Musk’s two cousins and was acquired by Musk for $2.6 billion in 2016.
Although Tesla is known for its electric vehicles, the company's goal is actually to "accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy." The faster the company installs solar roofs, the faster it can achieve this goal.

It is reported that as early as October 2016, Tesla released solar roof products. Tesla’s solar roof tiles have a 25-year warranty and are not affected by the weather.
Tesla said that so far, the company's energy professional partners have installed 400,000 solar roofs, equivalent to 10 million solar panels.
In March last year, Tesla said that its New York super factory completed the construction of a 4 megawatt (megawatt) solar roof, which can be used by up to 1,000 homes.
