Duke Energy plans to install more than 40GW of photovoltaics in 5 years
According to Sustainability and Climate Reports issued by Duke Energy, as of 2019, Duke Energy operates and contracts 8000MW wind power, solar and biomass power generation projects. Among them, 2500MW wind power projects, 1500MW solar projects, and purchased 4100MW power assets, 90% of these 4100MW power assets from solar projects. At present, Duke Energy's renewable energy 5kw off grid solar kits price generation ratio is about 14%.

It is worth noting that by 2025, Duke Energy hopes to double these indicators, setting the goal is to own or purchase 16000MW of renewable energy installed capacity (wind power, solar energy and biomass energy).
By 2050, Duke Energy's carbon-free plan will add 40GW of solar and wind power installations, which will account for 40% of Duke Energy's total installed capacity in the summer of 2050.

Combined with Duke Energy's development report, it is not difficult to find that wind power, solar energy, and biomass energy will be the focus of its future investment.
