According to a recent study by the African Development Bank (AfDB), Somalia is estimated to have the highest renewable energy potential of all African countries. Regarding onshore wind power, it is estimated that the country can generate 30,000 to 45,000 megawatts, while solar power kit is about 2,000 kWh/m2. Despite these potentials, only about 106 megawatts of electricity have been developed so far. As the Somali national grid collapsed with the government grid at the beginning of the civil war in 1991, the country lacked a national grid, and private power companies serving Somalia still rely heavily on diesel generators for power generation.
In order to allow the new commercial center to have a continuous power supply and avoid the roar of diesel generators, Ibrahim is looking for a better solar power kit solution. Mars Solar, a design engineer with 10 years of experience, designed a brand new 10KW solar power kit system for Ibrahim. Why is it a brand new solar power kit system? Because the solar panels used in this solar power kit system use Suntech silicon cell with a conversion rate of 21%, the inverter uses Japanese brand IGBT technology, and a high-performance LiFePo4 battery is also used. Currently, gel batteries and lead-acid batteries are commonly used in solar power generation systems. With the development of battery technology, lithium batteries have also begun to be widely used in solar power generation systems.
Technologically,The battery life based on cycle time, when the cycle time is used up,the battery will damage.Lithium battery is 2000times,gel battery is 800-1000times.Lithium battery have 2-3times longer use life than gel battery. But the lithium battery price are higher than gel battery 2-3times.Ibrahim is very satisfied with Mars Solar solar power generation systems design. He think that such a solar power generation systems not only provide efficient and long-term power supply for his building, but also increase the visibility and image of his building. This is a multifaceted investment.
