4.6GW! The world's largest photovoltaic project is under construction in Brazil
Brazilian company Omega Energia is developing the 4.6 GW Kuara Solar Park in the Brazilian state of Ceará. After the successful construction of the project, it will become the largest photovoltaic Solar Systems project in the world.

In recent days, the Ceará State Environmental Council has discussed the issue of granting an environmental permit to the park, which will be postponed until December 1. The project will feature 8 million solar modules, the manufacturers of which have not been disclosed. It will cover 7,800 hectares of unused farmland between the cities of Alacati and Icapui.
According to local media reports, Omega will sell part of the power generation to Australian iron ore producer Fortescue, and the company will build an industrial green hydrogen plant in the port of Percem, about 200 kilometers away from the solar park.

Brazil's photovoltaics reached 21 GW, between centralized and distributed power generation, and already accounted for 10.5% of energy.
