India: 13.5GW of wind and solar installed capacity added by the end of March
Recently, according to a new report from Bridge to India, as of the end of March 2022, India added 13,549MW of renewable Solar Panel Home System energy generation capacity, up 128% from last year, including 12,438MW of solar (10,217MW of utility-scale solar and 2,221MW of rooftop solar) and 1111MW of wind energy.

At present, the cumulative installed capacity of renewable power generation in India is 96.2GW, excluding small hydro and biomass power generation capacity. The installed capacity record set in 2021-2022 was mainly due to the completion of projects delayed last year.
Vinay Rustagi, Executive Director of Bridge to India, said, "The renewable energy sector has shown remarkable resilience in the face of multiple challenges, but what is important is the spillover effect of the epidemic, which affects investors and, on the one hand, the strength of the energy transition. Affected by macro fundamental factors, on the other hand, it is affected by severe policy and implementation barriers. The government's revised target of 500GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 is equivalent to the need for more than 40GW of new capacity per year, which makes it necessary to A complete reassessment of the industry."

It is understood that the rooftop solar capacity reached 2.2GW, an increase of more than 68% compared with last year, and the newly installed capacity reached 746MW.
