Spain launches 140MW distributed PV auction

    A few days ago, Spain’s Ministry of Ecological Transition and Population Challenges (Miteco) has launched an auction for 140MW of distributed solar Solar Panel For Home power generation.

    It is understood that the shortlisted projects have a maximum installed capacity of 5MW, and must ensure that there are at least three local enterprises, and all of them are within a range of no more than 60 kilometers from the project site. The auction will be held on October 25.

    The procurement campaign is part of a 520MW tender that will be open for other renewable energy as well as thermal power projects.

    The energy tender, part of a renewable energy economic plan introduced in 2020, is based on allocating a fixed price for the resulting energy through auctions, the data shows.
