As of the end of 2021, India's cumulative solar power Solar Electricity Generator generation has reached 49.3GW.

Solar Panels For Houses

As of December 31, the country's total clean energy power generation (excluding large hydropower stations) reached 104.87GW, including 40GW of wind power, 10.2GW of biomass, and small hydropower projects with a scale of 25MW and above with a power generation capacity of 4.8GW and The power generation capacity of the waste-to-energy incineration power plant is 400MW.

According to data from India's Central Electricity Authority, including the country's 46.5 GW of large-scale hydropower generation, its renewable energy generation reaches 151.4 GW.

And this figure only includes new off-grid power generation facilities since July, so the actual generation of clean energy generation facilities in India is even higher.

India's National Solar Energy Research Institute identified the country's solar power potential at about 750GWp based on land availability and solar irradiance assessments. India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy is working to address land and grid connectivity and capacity barriers to help the country achieve its goal of 500GW of non-fossil energy generation within this decade.
