According to an RT report on April 26, Dr. Ajay Mathur, Chairman of the International Solar Energy Alliance (ISA), stated that Russia, a country known for its abundant oil and natural gas reserves, has the potential to become a world leader in "green" hydrogen and Solar Electric Panels solar energy.

The organization was established in 2016, initially proposed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi), focusing on uniting countries located in tropical regions. Of course, countries in other regions may also become members. The plan aims to promote the consumption of solar energy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Now Mathur is considering expanding the group to other countries with important solar energy prospects, including Russia.
Mathur said: “We believe that, especially in southern Russia, there is a huge potential for solar energy development. Russia and ISA can learn from each other. ISA provides a set of lessons learned from other countries, and the lessons we learned from Russia can be combined with the solar energy alliance and Sharing by global solar user groups."

It is worth mentioning that at present, Russia has made great progress in hydroelectric power generation, and is in a leading position in the world in terms of water electrolysis.
