Xcel Energy plans to build 450MW photovoltaic power plant in Minnesota
Recently, XcelEnergy (XEL), Minnesota’s largest off grid solar system kit price power utility, has proposed a $3 billion investment project to further develop its clean energy goals while promoting Minnesota’s economy. These projects include adding solar power installations, expanding wind farms and developing energy-saving projects.

According to Xcel data, Minnesota's electricity bill is already 24% lower than the US average. The company plans to use the federal tax credit to build a $650 million solar photovoltaic power plant with a generating capacity of 450 MW in Becker to replace its coal-fired power plant. The proposal needs to be approved by the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. These projects will create about 5,000 jobs and help users keep electricity costs low.
It is worth noting that Minnesota Power of Allee also submitted a $40 million solar infrastructure development plan. In Hoyt Lakes, Brainerd and Duluth, 20MW of new photovoltaic installations will be added. Most of the construction of these three projects will be carried out in 2021, when Minnesota Power Company expects that half of its electricity will come from renewable sources.

Minnesota (Minnesota) is the first state in the United States to adopt the "solar value" policy, and is also a leading region of renewable energy in the United States. Minnesota’s structure-optimized modern power grid and electricity tariff pricing can more accurately and transparently reflect the cost of power generation costs, effectively incorporate more clean energy power into the power grid, and promote economic development. It has reference significance in the US states.
