India adds 5.7GW of photovoltaic power generation capacity

    A survey report recently released by the Indian market research agency JMK Research and Analytics shows that in the 2019/2020 fiscal year (April 2019-March 2020), India's newly installed photovoltaic off grid solar kit system perth power generation capacity was 5.7 GW, a slight decrease of 1% from the previous fiscal year.  However, this figure is 24% lower than the previous target set by the Indian government.

    According to the statistics of the newly installed photovoltaic power generation capacity in the region, Rajasthan in the west is 1.8 GW; Tamil Nadu in the south is 1.3 GW and Karnataka is 1.1 GW.

    In addition, in fiscal year 2019/2020, India also added 2.1 GW of wind power installed capacity, an increase of 31% over the previous fiscal year, but failed to meet the government's target of 3 GW. Among them, Gujarat in the west grew the most, at 1.4 GW.
