Saudi Arabia starts construction of 300MW solar power plant

    Energy Information Statistics News on April 13, Indian multinational technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services company Larsen & Toubro has begun construction of Electricity Solar Panel 300 MW Jeddah solar power generation 50 kilometers southeast of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia plant. The company has won engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts from Masdar, EDF Renewable Energy, and Nesma.

    In addition, the Nadine Group also won an EPC order for the 1.5 GW Sudair solar photovoltaic project developed by PIF and ACWA Power. These two projects have just signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Saudi Arabia, which is the second round of the country's renewable energy procurement plan. Saudi Arabia also signed five other projects, totaling 1,170 megawatts of power purchase agreements.
