Greece plans to develop large-scale photovoltaic hydrogen production project
A few days ago, British renewable energy developer HiveEnergy said it plans to build a large-scale photovoltaic hydrogen production project in Greece. The Diy Solar Power System project consists of three parts: photovoltaic power station, energy storage power station and electrolyzer. The total installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation is about 200,000 kilowatts, the installed capacity of lithium battery energy storage power station is about 100,000 kilowatts, and the installed capacity of electrolyzer is about 50,000 kilowatts. After that, 16 tons of hydrogen can be produced per day. The total planned investment of the project is 226.4 million euros, and it will be supported by the Greek Inter-Ministerial Strategic Investment Committee. This is the first photovoltaic hydrogen production project to receive national strategic investment in Greece.

With the acceleration of energy transformation in Europe, green and clean energy such as photovoltaics and hydrogen energy is regarded as the key to reducing emissions and achieving carbon reduction goals. Greek government staff spoke highly of the above photovoltaic hydrogen production project: "This project will promote the development of Greece's green economy, accelerate the update and iteration of new renewable energy innovation technologies, help Greece save energy and decarbonize, and reduce the impact on the environment. At the same time, Reducing Greece's reliance on gas and oil helps us deal with the energy crisis. That's why we granted this project national strategic investment status."
Foreign media pointed out that the Greek Interministerial Strategic Investment Committee has never included photovoltaic hydrogen production projects in the national strategic investment list before. Normally, the Greek Interministerial Committee for Strategic Investments does not approve any innovative photovoltaic power generation projects. The project enables the capital market to see the development potential of renewable energy in Greece, and will attract investors' attention to related projects and open up financing channels for related projects. Under the background of the strong support of the Greek government, the approval, approval, licensing and other administrative procedures for related projects will also be on the fast track to accelerate the implementation of green cleaning projects in Greece.

As a country that has publicly opposed the EU's ban on the import of Russian crude oil and petroleum products, Greece is accelerating the development of the renewable energy industry and continuously increasing its support for the photovoltaic industry. In recent years, the annual newly installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation in Greece has approached one million kilowatts. A few days ago, the National Grid Corporation of Greece publicly stated that Greece has completed 100% renewable energy power supply for the first time.
