From 2017 to 2019, Kazakhstan's renewable energy solar systems price for house power generation increased by about 1.2 times, but the proportion of the country's total power generation is still very limited.

Data show that in 2017, Kazakhstan used renewable energy to generate a total of 1.1 billion kilowatts, and in 2019 it increased to 2.4 billion kilowatts. In the first quarter of this year, renewable energy power generation was about 550 million kWh, a year-on-year increase of 58%. It is expected to exceed 3 billion kW this year.
Although the "absolute value" of renewable energy power generation has increased considerably, the proportion has not changed qualitatively and is still very limited. In 2019, Kazakhstan’s national power generation is 106 billion kilowatts, and renewable energy power generation accounts for only 2.3%, and it is expected to reach 3% in 2020.

Kazakhstan is rich in renewable energy for power generation, and its potential has not yet been vigorously developed. At present, there are 37 solar power stations, 37 hydropower stations, 22 wind power stations and 5 biological power stations in Kazakhstan. The total installed capacity of renewable energy power stations in 2019 is 1050 MW, and this year it will reach 1655 MW.
