South Korea adds 2.82GW of PV in the first three quarters of 2021

    According to the latest statistics released by the Korea Energy Agency (KEA), South Korea’s new Solar System For South Korea capacity was 677MW in the third quarter, compared with 1,153MW in the same period last year, and the growth rate is slower than last year. In the first three quarters of 2021, the cumulative installed photovoltaic capacity was 2,828.3MW.

    Analysts said that the reason for the decline in the number of solar photovoltaic installations in South Korea can be attributed to the delayed approval of permits, and the increase and expansion of site selection restrictions by local governments, which led to the shrinking of the market.
