The Federal House of Representatives recently passed the "Berlin Solar Act" (Berlin Solar Act), requiring all new buildings in Berlin, Germany from 2023 to install Solar Solutions For Home systems. The new regulations will apply to all new buildings and major renovation projects in which the roof area of existing buildings exceeds 50 square meters.

The bill requires that the photovoltaic system must cover at least 30% of the roof area, and other minimum requirements will apply to residential buildings: residential buildings with no more than two apartments must install photovoltaic systems with an installed capacity of 2 kW, and 3 to 5 apartments are applicable A photovoltaic system of 3 kW requires 6 kW for 6 to 10 apartments.

The implementation of these new regulations will be supported by the Investment Bank Berlin (Investitionsbank Berlin) through financing projects for photovoltaic deployment in the form of investment grants and loans.
