Germany: Approximately 620MW of new photovoltaic installed capacity in April
According to the latest data released by the German Federal Network Agency Bundesnetzagentur, the total solar photovoltaic Solar Full Kit installations in the country in April 2021 were 619.5 MW, an increase of 59 MW (10.5%) from the 560 MW installed in March 2021.

Compared with the same period last year, Germany installed 371 MW in April 2020, a year-on-year increase of 66.8%. As of the end of March 2021, Germany's cumulative solar installed capacity reached 55.5 GW.
Germany installed 4.8 GW of solar installed capacity in 2020, compared with 4.03 GW in 2019, an increase of 21% year-on-year.
In December 2020, Bundesnetzagentur announced the auction results for solar and onshore wind power projects. The agency received 45 bids for a total of 264.15 MW solar projects. The lowest price for solar tenders is 0.048 Euro/kWh and the highest is 0.052 Euro/kWh. The average bid price was 0.051 Euro/kWh.

In November 2020, solar won the full capacity in the 202 MW wind and solar auction in Germany. The tender was oversubscribed by 518 MW, and no wind power project was tendered. According to the published documents, the Federal Network Agency awarded 43 bids with a total capacity of 202 MW. The average bid price was 0.053 Euro/kWh.
In October 2020, Bundesnetzagentur announced that its bid for the 96.4 MW solar project was oversubscribed, and it received 87 bids, about 393.3 MW of the project, and finally awarded the project with a total capacity of 103.1 MW. The bids for these items are between 0.049-0.054/kWh.
