South Australia becomes the first region in the world to achieve 100% solar
Affected by many factors such as climate change, technological progress and cost reduction, solar energy deployment is being promoted all over the world. In the process of improving the energy structure, some regions have become increasingly dependent on solar energy, and South Australia is the first region in the world to achieve 100% solar energy generator solar energy supply.

This important and short-lived milestone was created on October 11 this year. From 12 o'clock to 1 o'clock in the afternoon of the same day, solar energy met all living and industrial power supply in South Australia. Sunny weather and suitable temperature during the day create suitable conditions, and roof solar energy contributes most of the energy output.
Solar energy is very popular in South Australia. More than one-third of homes are equipped with rooftop solar systems. In 2020 alone, 2500 sets were installed. In the hour at noon on October 11, 288,000 rooftop solar systems had been installed, contributing 992 MW, while large-scale solar factories contributed 313 MW.

Audrey Zibelman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Energy Market Operator, said: “In South Australia, the dominance and successful integration of rooftop solar power heralds the rebuilding of Australia’s jurisdictional power system. South Australia The state has never had such a jurisdiction, it is completely operated by solar energy, and consumers’ rooftop solar systems account for 77%."
