France's new photovoltaic scale increased over the same period last year
According to the latest statistics on solar and wind energy deployment in the third quarter of 2021 released by the French Ministry of Ecological Transformation, the newly added solar Simple Solar System For Home capacity reached 2034MW from January to September, compared with 761MW in the same period in 2020. The substantial increase in new capacity was mainly due to the increase in the number of grid-connected photovoltaics and the increase in utility-scale solar installed capacity.

It is reported that since the beginning of the year, grid connection requests have been made, and the total capacity of solar projects waiting in line reached 10.6 GW, an increase of 18%, of which 3 GW have signed grid connection agreements.

As of September 30, 2021, France's cumulative solar installed capacity reached 13,231MW, including 12583MW in mainland France. In terms of geographic distribution, New Aquitaine, Occitane, Great Eastern, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regions account for 68% of the new grid-connected electricity.
