SENER will build Spain's first solar thermal photovoltaic power generation proje
SENER Renewable Investments, a subsidiary of Spain’s SENER Group, which specializes in the promotion and development of high-tech renewable Off Grid Power energy projects, launched the first hybrid solar power project in Spain-Solgest-1, which will use molten salt heat storage type trough solar heat Hybrid technology route of power generation + photovoltaic power generation.

According to the current public configuration, Solgest-1 will build a 110MW solar thermal power generation system and a 6-hour molten salt heat storage system to achieve power generation at night or in cloudy weather. The CSP system will cooperate with a photovoltaic power generation system with an installed capacity of 40MWp. The photovoltaic system will generate electricity during the day, which can not only meet part of the parasitic load of the CSP device, but also supply power to the grid. After the completion of the entire hybrid solar power project, it will be able to achieve 24-hour continuous power generation and transmit power to the Carmona substation in Seville through a 220kV high-voltage power supply line.
