Greece will hold tender for 482MW photovoltaic project in July

    On May 21st, the Greek Energy Regulatory Authority (RAE) stated that a new round of wind and home solar panel kit price solar tenders will be held on July 27th.

    RAE plans to sign 482MW solar energy contracts and 481.5MW wind energy contracts in the July tender project. The highest bidding price for solar energy is 63 euros (US $ 69) per megawatt-hour, and the highest bidding price for wind energy is 62.99 euros / megawatt-hour.

    The tender will target solar photovoltaic power generation projects with an installed capacity of 20 MW and below and wind power projects with a capacity of 50 MW and below, and award long-term off-take contracts. The deadline for registration is June 29.

    It is reported that in the renewable energy auction held in April 2020, Greece awarded 502.94 MW of wind and solar power generation capacity, and the bid price was as low as 49.11 euros per MWh. Solar energy obtained 350MW of these projects, which performed well. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) report, Greece's latest energy plan will increase the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaics to 7.7GW by 2030.
